Grades or Subjects Taught - Penmanship teacher, Kindergarten teacher for 15 years, choir. Education - Recori H. S. in Cold Spring, MN. Years at St Robert Bellarmine Academy - All 28 years! Number of Years Teaching - 28 years. Interests and Hobbies - My husband Ed , and I play a lot of cards or board games. I also play bingo. Once a month I put on a fundraiser for the Academy, coffee and doughnuts after Sunday Masses. In March, I also help Miss Claire Schumacher organize our St Joseph Festival. The whole school gets disassembled and re-arranged for booths, and silent auction, a cake and punch room, a schrine for St Joseph, oh yes, we can't forget the children's game room, complete with a jail! Favorite Book - Being a librarian, I have too many favorites! But, being a teacher, my favorite tool is the A.J. Palmer Method of teaching Cursive Handwriting! It's the greatest! The letters have elegance and flare with its loops and curls; definitely no stick letters in it! Favorite Thing About St Robert's - EVERYTHING! We have a very active parish. At St Robert's, the people get involved, and I have a purpose. Favorite Thing About Teaching: For the most part, I have been involved with the younger students, but it's when they transition from " I forgot" or "I don't know" or "I don't understand" to a big smile and a light-bulb goes off in their head and they shout out. "I got it"! It's very rewarding when I can help someone, or to know that I made a difference in a child's life. ← Back |
